I gave a full-day Media and Presentation Skills Training to this winemaker in preparation for his American media tour. He was nervous about his English skills yet we had a lot of ground to cover. I unexpectedly ended up doing most of the preliminary training in French to have enough time for practice in English.
We worked intensively on messaging, responding to questions, and giving demonstrations. We capitalized on his accent, French charm and personal charisma as a means for him to exert his credibility and command of the room.
